Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 10, 2026 · Moose Pack Inc™ (Arizona) · iammvm1@gmail.com

1. Your system data stays on your Mac

MacGuardian™ analyzes your Mac's performance — running processes, CPU/memory/thermal state, disk usage, and the files you work on (Work Guard). The raw data — your process list, file contents, snapshots, and screen — is processed 100% on your device and is never transmitted to us. We have no server that receives it. AI features run on-device, or (only if you opt in) through a provider you configure with your own key.

The one exception, which you control: anonymous product diagnostics (Section 2), on by default and switchable off anytime in Settings → Privacy. They never include your files, screen, keystrokes, or anything identifying you.

2. Anonymous product diagnostics (on by default — you can switch off)

To improve MacGuardian and its AI as fast as possible, we share anonymized, aggregated diagnostics unless you turn them off. We chose the smallest set of signals with the biggest improvement value:

These are keyed to a random, rotating device identifier — not your name or email — used only to improve the product. We never sell them. In the EU/EEA, diagnostics are off unless you turn them on.

3. What we collect when you buy or contact us

We do not collect biometric data, precise location, or the contents of your files. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Where it's stored & our processors

Account and license data is stored in Supabase (encrypted at rest). Our processors: Stripe (payments — collects card details directly; we never see your full card number), Supabase (account/license storage), Resend (transactional and, with consent, marketing email).

5. Retention

We keep license and purchase records while your license is valid and thereafter as required for tax/legal purposes (generally up to 7 years). You may request deletion of data we're not legally required to keep.

6. Security

Data in Supabase is encrypted at rest and access-controlled; only privileged server systems can read it. Payments are handled by Stripe under PCI-DSS. We keep the surface minimal — starting with the fact that your system data never leaves your Mac.

7. Children

MacGuardian is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may access, correct, delete, or port your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. California residents may request disclosure and opt out of "sale" (we do not sell data). To exercise any right, email iammvm1@gmail.com; we verify via your purchase email before acting.

Lost-license recovery: because we store your license against your email, you can recover a lost key by verifying that email — we re-send it only to that address, never to anyone else.

9. International transfers

We and our processors may process data in the United States and other countries, relying on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date reflects the latest version, and material changes are announced in-app or by email.
